1. Discuss your complaint with your GP

In many cases, a conversation with your GP helps to clear up misunderstandings or identify possible improvements. We are happy to take the time to listen to you. If you would prefer to explain your complaint in writing first, you can ask for a complaint form at the reception desk.

2. Would you rather talk to someone else?

Do you find it difficult to discuss your complaint with us, or are we unable to resolve it together?
Then you can contact an independent complaints officer.

The complaints officer is independent and impartial and can work with you to find a solution, for example by mediating between you and your GP. The complaints officer does not take sides and therefore does not pass judgment. Everything you say is confidential. Would you like the help of a complaints officer? You can fill in the complaint form on the SKGE website. The complaints officer can also be reached by phone at 088 -022 91 90.

3. Still unable to resolve it?

If neither the conversation with your GP nor mediation by the complaints officer leads to a solution, you can submit your complaint to the Geschilleninstantie Huisartsenzorg (Disputes Committee for General Practice Care).

This independent committee consists of a chair (a current or former judge), members representing patients and members representing GPs. The committee is assisted by an official secretary (a lawyer).

The disputes committee investigates your complaint and issues a binding decision. More information can be found on the SKGE website.
